Show and Tell - Walking Sticks
There they are. Right by the door. Waiting to be taken for a walk. Some I made myself. Others I purchased. There's a bunch more in the attic somewhere. But I'm not energetic enough to photograph those. The tall ones are for hiking in the mountains. The short ones are for setting a pace around the neighborhood. And yes, I'm just eccentric enough to use them.
And hats to shade my head.

I have so very fond memories of your walking sticks. I agree with grammy. The ones you made are the best.
For the rest of the internet world, who hasn't had the chance to see these up close and hold 'em 'n stuff, these things are awesome. The whatchamacall'em diamond-wood ones especially.

We had a few in our house in NY, too. I think my grandpa made one of them, before his arthritis got too bad for him to do his woodwork. But what a cool thing to do and for your family to have!
